To be recognized among Citywire Switzerland's TOP 50, independent asset managers must either hold or be in the process of obtaining the new FINMA portfolio manager license. Additionally, they must operate independently from banks or other financial services providers, offer discretionary wealth management services to private clients, and maintain an open architecture approach to investment management, allowing them to choose external products and service providers freely. Citywire Switzerland then ranks the 50 firms with the largest assets under management in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, including assets under administration, advice, and control.
